Welcome to the inaugural notification of my new website—Copy Book Warrior—and my weekly update. Many of you recall my weekly updates—The Lingamfelter Report—that I sent to you when I was a member of the Virginia legislature. A number of you have told me that you miss those updates on all things politics. I heard you. That is why I have undertaken this new effort to keep you informed on a range of issues.
Since I left the Virginia House of Delegates, I have taken up writing as my full-time work and have recently published my first book, Desert Redleg: Artillery Warfare in the First Gulf War. Desert Redleg chronicles my time as a warrior and artilleryman with the heralded 1st Infantry Division Artillery, “The Big Red One”, and the role we played in breaking through Iraqi enemy lines. You can read more about it at the link and hopefully obtain a copy.
I have also just finished a second book on renewing the founding vision of America, including the necessary changes to our government functions and the character of our nation. I will be writing more about that in future updates as I move closer to publishing it.
I also now write routinely in the commentary section of the Washington Times on a range of issues from foreign policy to national security, and most recently on how states have not adequately prepared for pandemics like the COVID-19 crisis. You can read all of my articles here.
In this new endeavor, I strive to provide thoughtful commentary and analysis on topics of the day. That said, I hope you will stay with me. We have many challenges in the nation today, and I want to share some truth and opinions about all of that with you. In the meantime, visit my site, read its purpose, sign up to get my weekly updates, and take a look at Desert Redleg too!
Scribendo cogito.
